Plans are underway for a week-long trip several historic sites including Greenbelt, MD this October. We plan to depart from the Historic Hose Tower in Greendale on Sunday morning, October 7 and return Saturday Oct. 14.
We will travel east and stay overnight in the Pittsburg area. Then on to Shepherdstown, West Virginia the oldest city in the state and very historic. That area will be our base and we will take day trips to Greenbelt MD, (one of the three other Greenbelt Towns, also a National Historic Landmark) Harpers Ferry, Antietam National Battlefield, and Shenandoah National Park. All of this will be during their beautiful fall foliage season!
All our past tours have sold out. More info of this journey will be presented at our Membership Meeting Luncheon on March 10, noon at the Hose Tower. (Open to the public). Marge Hill and Mary Mainella are working on the travel and lodging details for the trip and will be on hand to answer your questions about the trip.
